Comments | 24 Hour Trail Running FestivalThis exhilarating festival, hosted at Hardwood Ski and Bike in beautiful Oro Medonte, combines the thrill of trail running with a sense of community and camaraderie. In this 24 hour event, each team will collectively run 192 km. Teams of 8 or 4 (ultra) have one team member starting an 8 km lap each hour for 24 hours. The event offers a vibrant atmosphere with on site camping village, retail and expo area, 24 hour food and beverage, games, outdoor movies, campfires and a palpable sense of celebration. This relay race will challenge participants while fostering a sense of unity among trail running enthusiasts, creating memories that will extend beyond the finish line. |

Duties | Volunteers will be acting as “Course Marshals” at various stations along the course or Start Line/Finish Line/Timing Helpers. Course Marshals and Helpers stand at key points along the course to direct runners if requested, ensure fair play and provide rapid response to incidents. Marshals and Helpers may also act as crossing guards. Radios are provided to communicate reports of any incidents or to call in medical assistance (Volunteers are not expected to provide first aid). Lastly, they cheer on those riders as they pass by! |
