DutiesThe GTHS Food Fairy ensures that all kittens and cats in the building are fed. Other duties include: 
  • topping up water 
  • washing food dishes 
  • tidying 
  • record keeping as necessary and following the feeding chart accurately.
 
Of course, our cats will also appreciate cuddles and play time!

Interaction LevelSolitary ; Other staff and volunteers come onsite from 7.30am within the Dog Care Team. This position involves working alone, in the presence of cats, however, applicants can participate in team meetings, on internal social media channels and are welcome to sign up for additional positions where team work is required.

Shift length is between 1-2 hours. The vacancies posted here are current as at 2021-08-04; the Friday position is available immediately, the Sunday position is available at the beginning of October 2021

TrainingOrientation ; Training is provided - Reference materials are also provided to support training ; Training is required ; Scheduled training - At a mutually convenient date - likely from 6am until approximately 8am ; Training on the job - Shadowing and working alongside an experienced volunteer ; The GTHS onboarding process must be completed before a volunteer's first shift. At present, orientation and onboarding is conducted virtually / via email.
