| Duties | This is a flexible volunteering opportunity for people interested in helping out a local, older individual who may no longer be able to go grocery shopping without support. This service can make a big difference to older individuals and can help these residents to remain independent and in their own homes for as long as possible. Volunteers in this role will provide grocery shopping assistance at local food stores, which includes providing transportation with or without clients to the local stores, and assisting clients by bringing groceries inside their home for them, on a one time, occasional and temporary basis. | |||
