Duties•Reports promptly and reliably for all scheduled assignments 
•Maintains vigilance for the safety of visitors at all times 
•Maintains vigilance for the safety and protection of museum objects at all times 
•Provides excellent interpretation of the Museum's exhibits  
•Responds in a helpful, friendly and accurate manner to visitor queries

BenefitsMuseum docents will enjoy the opportunity to bring history to life, as they share Grey County’s past with visitors. They will have the chance to learn new things themselves and make new friends. Upon completion of 20 hours of service annually, they and a guest may visit Grey Roots free of charge. They will receive a quarterly newsletter, discounts in the gift shop, insurance coverage while on duty and an annual recognition event.
