DutiesBe available on-call to respond to a wide-variety of emergency situations within a very structured and controlled program. Includes ground search and rescue, disaster response and police community assistance. Includes performing a wide range of administrative or operational activities, as requested by one or more of the emergency services.

Skills/ExperienceMust have or complete Standard First Aid and CPR level C. 
Must hold minimum of OSSGD (Grade 12) or equivalent.
Commitment LengthInterested volunteers MUST attend ONE of the two Information Session to be considered. E-mail ckimball@oceap.ca for details on locations.
Interaction LevelWork closely with other volunteers both within and outside the organization. Maintain a professional image while on duty - to both the public and emergency services personnel.
Minimum Hours40 / Year
Dates and TimesTimes and dates vary. However the volunteer is on call 24/7 year round.

Training40 hour training program must be completed within the first year. There is no cost for the training. All training provided by OCEAP or it's partner organizations.
CostVolunteers must purchase uniform at one time cost of approx $500 during first six months of service.

Additional RequirementsClear criminal background check including vulnerable sector screening. Willingness to follow orders and the chain of command. Pass acceptance interview.
