Duties | Tutors will meet with their own student, 1 on 1, twice per week, to assist with reading, writing, numeracy, computers, and essential skills. |

Clients | Adults who have not completed grade 12. Also those who need extra help in a specific area or skill set. |

Commitment Length | Long Term (More than 1 year) - One year commitment ; We would prefer a commitment of at least 1 year as it is necessary to build a relationship with the student. |

Training | Orientation ; Training is provided ; Scheduled training ; Tutor training workshops are offered at least once per year in Orillia. They are offered continuously in Barrie. |
Transportation | Near public transit ; All volunteers must provide their own transportation to the council office. Transportation will be provided for special events |

Additional Requirements | Tutors are occasionally called upon to assist with fundraising and/or recreational activities. |
