Duties-Grow food at multiple urban garden sites in Orillia 
-Learn skills at local farms by working alongside sustainable farmers 
-Attend farmers' markets as a vendor 
-Create value-added products from garden produce
BenefitsCamp Couchiching Community Initiative works with local youth to gain employment skills, learn about sustainable food systems and have fun being active outdoors! Volunteer participants in our young urban farmer program are eligible for honorariums based on what they give back to the community. Youth volunteers get to work with established farmers and community gardeners, producing healthy food and learning about all aspects of the food system.
