Duties

There are many jobs on the build site that do not require construction experience but are integral to the successful completion and function of the home. We need help from general volunteers with dry-walling, painting, floor installation, site readiness and clean-up to give some examples. All volunteers are taught and supervised by a site manager, trained crew leaders and a site host.

Skills/Experience

Dependability & Trustworthiness ; Team Work ; For general volunteer positions - no experience is required. It is essential that volunteers are hard-working and reliable. Working on the build site is often hard and dirty work, and the Site Supervisor and homeowners count on volunteers to show up ready to work.

Interaction Level

One-on-one ; Small Group - Volunteers will interact with other volunteers and affiliate staff.

Dates and Times

Volunteer days on the build site vary. Interested volunteers are also encouraged to register on Volunteer Hub (see "Volunteer Now" button along left side of website: www.habitatpeterborough.ca) This will allow you to receive emails when volunteers are needed on the build site.
