DutiesAssist students to improve reading, writing and math skills utilizing assistive technology and non-computer based activities to achieve improvements in school work. One-to-one tutoring, one hour session, once per week (minimum). Involves the development of individualized learning plans for each student, lesson planning, progress communication and report writing.

Skills/Experience- Familiar and comfortable with computers; 
- Knowledge of, or willingness to learn about, learning disabilities, ADHD and associated disorders; 
- Knowledge of, or willingness to learn about, assistive and educational software; 
- Knowledge of, or willingness to learn about, learning strategies, literacy and math skills, and behavioural/social development of children; 
- Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a related post-secondary education program, such as; Education, Social Sciences, Early Childhood Education or Educational Assistant;  
- Previous experience supporting children with disabilities an asset.

Additional RequirementsApplicants must be 18 years or older, and must be prepared to provide a Criminal Information Request (CIR) and Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS) upon successful application.
