|Duties||* Support individuals to participate in the life of the Peterborough City and County Communities |
* In discussion with a person and the supporting staff, support the person is doing activities of their choice, for example:
* Going with one or two people to Peterborough Pete's games
* Going out for coffee
* Going to the Wellness Centre to swim, use exercise equipment
* Going to the Library
* Going for a walk
* A volunteer is not expected to pay for the person. The individual(s) you volunteer with is expected to cover their own transportation costs including gas if you use your car

|Cost||The cost for the vulnerable sector police check is covered by Community Living Peterborough. If a volunteer chooses to drive their car, they will need proof of $1,000,000.00 liability coverage and Driver's license. |
Community Living Peterborough does not cover the cost of transportation or the individual's you have been matched with activities. This is the individual's responsibility.
|Additional Requirements||You are required to submit the name of 3 references as well as a Criminal Reference check of no more than 3 months old. If you do not have a Criminal Reference Check, we provide a letter for the Peterborough Police Department. All Criminal Reference Checks require a Vulnerable Person Check. |
If you drive your car as a part of your volunteering, you are required to submit proof of liability insurance of $1,000,000 and Driver's License
