Duties*Family Play to Learn volunteers support staff in the operation of adult/child programs by helping to set up and facilitate activities, interact with children and parents, and help clean up at the end of program.  
 
*Library volunteers help with toy and book transactions and the assembly of learning kits.  
 
*Volunteer parenting course leaders help to co-lead our parent-child and parent only classes on various parenting and child development topics.  
 
*School readiness volunteer opportunities are available in different school settings throughout the school year.  
 
*Lunch program volunteers help with the preparation of snacks and lunches at our School for Young Moms.

Commitment LengthWe ask for a 3 month commitment in most of our programs. Longer term is possible.
Minimum Hours3 / Month
Dates and TimesPrograms times and days vary from Monday-Saturday. Programs run mornings, afternoons, and evenings. Our goal is to match a volunteer role with a volunteer's interests and skills within a time-frame that will work for them and our programs.
LocationVarious Family Hub sites throughout City of Peterborough, Lakefield, and Norwood.

TrainingAn orientation to the Peterborough Family Resource Centre programs and policies is provided as well as a program specific orientation. Training varies depending on the position.
