POSITION DESCRIPTION:  
Clothing Sorter - Sort Clothes, take inventory, and organize the store. 
 
Stylists- Suit clients for their interviews (experience with Dress For Success may be needed, but will be provided). 
 
Fundraising Committee- Creating events for fundraising opportunities, or volunteering for an already planned event. 
 
IT Tech - Someone to create and maintain a social presence on line to promote the organization and it's events. 
 
Hair and Make up Stylists- Help show clients what is appropriate for interviews and work when considering make up and hair. 
 
Board of Directors- Must be 18+, will sit in on the board meetings and hold an important role within the organization, for more information, contact Linda Reid, Executive Director for Dress For Success Orillia and Barrie.

Our Public Relations Team is currently recruiting 2 people. These team members would be utilized in an emergency and day to day house keeping. We are asking for 2 new team members mainly in-case an emergency post needs to placed on our website and/or social media accounts such a Missing Persons Release which is highly time sensitive and current team member is not available. Must have VERY strong oral and written English skills. Must have smart phone for emergency paging system. Must have reliable computer for accessing website. *Website editor can NOT be accessed by phones.

Communications Lead 
 
As the Communications Lead, you are responsible for local media relations and promotions for the CIBC Run for the Cure. Working alongside your committee and Volunteer Run Director, you will be generating excitement in your community via media and social media using the PR Toolkit and social media kit provided. Identifying and preparing local spokespeople will be part of the role as well as serving as the primary media contact on Run day. In addition to your role with media/social media there may be some distribution of marking materials required. If so, you will also be responsible for establishing a post event pick up plan for promotional materials.

Community Outreach Lead 
 
As the Community Outreach Lead, identifying and implementing opportunities to promote the CIBC Run for the Cure in your community (festivals and events, speaking engagements, clubs) is your skill. You have a great ability to encourage participation in the Run by connecting with the community and sharing the importance of the cause and impact of funds raised. Along with the support of your Volunteer Run Directors and Communications Lead you will coordinate the committee in the execution of pre-Run promotional events, ensuring logistics and volunteer resources are managed in a timely fashion throughout the summer and fall.

The 2020 Defeat Depression Walks will take place late May/Early June 2020 
 
The Defeat Depression campaign is a national fundraising campaign designed to allow individuals and organizations to raise funds in support of their local mental health programs and services. The campaign has grown into a national movement bringing much-needed funds, awareness of mental health issues while fighting mental health stigma one event at a time. 
 
Planning and organizing the Walk/Runs takes time, passion and creative thinking. With support from volunteers and Mood Disorders Society of Canada’s staff, you will be a part of something truly extraordinary in your community. Although this is a national campaign, local success depends on volunteers like you. With your community insight, you will raise awareness, encourage participation, and drive fundraising results. 
 
Available Positions: 
Event Chair/Co-Chairs oversees all elements of the event from start to finish, liaises with Mood Disorders Society of Canada, attends host conference calls during the planning process, and explores new ideas and suggestions on how to make the event successful, responsible for financial tracking of the event 
 
Volunteer Coordinator recruit volunteers to help on the day of the event and/or with tasks throughout the planning process, assigns responsibilities as needed, and builds relationships within the community 
 
Local Sponsorship Coordinator – you will recruit build local connections, new sponsors, and strengthen relationships with existing sponsors to offset some event expenses and contribute to the local fundraising revenue. Working with your committee and Defeat Depression Staff, you are responsible for acquiring local cash, and in-kind sponsorships, ensure that sponsor obligations are fulfilled, and each sponsor feels the true value of a partnership with the Defeat Depression Campaign. 
 
Communications/Marketing Coordinator oversees promotion of the event, brainstorms how to attract participants and sponsors, engages local media and hosts media on the day of the event, etc. 
 
Social Media Coordinator oversees the event Facebook page, handles posts and responds to inquiries on social media, engages local stakeholders, helps promote the event through social media, shares pictures post event, directs people to engage with YouTube and Flickr 
 
Logistics Coordinator books the location for the event, plans the walk or run course, obtains all required permits/approvals, plans for tents/water/parking/supplies on the day-of
