Volunteers needed for the Santa Claus Parade. There are a range of opportunities including:

  • Banner Carriers (age 12 and up or accompanied by an adult)- walk in the parade carrying a sponsor banner (arrive 1 hr prior to parade; approximately 3 hour time commitment)
  • Staging Assistants- help with directing traffic flow in/ out of staging area, monitoring entrance/ exit of staging area, helping participants find their space, directing floats as they leave/ return to the staging area, collecting waiver forms, distributing/ collecting float numbers, assisting with participant inquiries (day of parade; time commitment is flexible)
  • Setup/ Teardown Volunteers- placing barricades, bagging parking meters, setup/ teardown of staging area (day before, day of, and/ or day after parade; time commitment is flexible)

  • Assist with set-up and take-down of the weekly farmers' market - which includes signage, sandwich boards, sail banners, tables, chairs, benches, barricades, canopies and musical equipment, electrical cords, garbage and recycle receptacles.

  • Collect litter to ensure the Market grounds are clear of garbage and debris before and after the Market.
