POSITION DESCRIPTION:  
Clothing Sorter - Sort Clothes, take inventory, and organize the store. 
 
Stylists- Suit clients for their interviews (experience with Dress For Success may be needed, but will be provided). 
 
Fundraising Committee- Creating events for fundraising opportunities, or volunteering for an already planned event. 
 
IT Tech - Someone to create and maintain a social presence on line to promote the organization and it's events. 
 
Hair and Make up Stylists- Help show clients what is appropriate for interviews and work when considering make up and hair. 
 
Board of Directors- Must be 18+, will sit in on the board meetings and hold an important role within the organization, for more information, contact Linda Reid, Executive Director for Dress For Success Orillia and Barrie.
Grey Roots Museum & Archives
Moreston Village and Grey Roots
Spend the summer months and various times throughout the year in period costume while sharing the stories and history of the area with all visitors young and old. Can volunteer in one or two of the six period buildings on site - Log Cabin, Log House, Farm House, School House, Blacksmith, and Garage.  
 
Duties include: 
*Daily demonstrations of historically authentic skills, tasks and activities for visitors - volunteers are encouraged to live the life of the time period they are portraying while in each designated building 
*Respond to questions from the public and tour groups in an informed and friendly manner  
*Provide interpretation and commentary on time period and building/location  
*Protect building(s) and the collections therein  
*Clean and dust the buildings and collections as assigned

Lang Pioneer Village Museum
Lang Pioneer Village Museum, Keene, ON
The Costuming Department Volunteer supports Lang Pioneer Village Museum by assisting with the creation and repair of historically accurate costumes and accessories for the village’s staff and volunteer interpreters. 
 
Key Responsibilities:  
* Undertake repairs on all aspects of costuming 
* Assist costumer in the creation of and finishing work on costumes 
* Under the direction and at the discretion of the costume designer, the costuming department volunteer may elect to undertake individual projects 
* May occasionally involve the laundering and organization of costumes and light housecleaning duties

Volunteers provide support for the following services: Complex Continuing Care, Decorating Committee, Diagnostic Imaging, Dialysis, Emergency, Gift Shop, HELLP (Nevada Lottery), Hospital Library, Information Desk, Knitting, Lay Visiting, Book Cart, Outpatient Clinics, Mental Health Services, Palliative Care, Portering, Recreation Therapy, Special Requests, Spiritual Care, Surgical Outpatients, Women's Health Care, Cancer Care, and Foundation. 
 
Apply by attending a scheduled information session. Call to pre-register at 705-876-5066. These are held on the second Thursday of each month at 1:30 pm and the fourth Wednesday of each month at 6 pm. Registered information session attendees meet at the Information Desk in the main entrance prior to the session. If not able to attend an information session, call and information will be mailed. Two written references and a current police record check are required.
Lang Pioneer Village Museum
Lang Pioneer Village, Keene, ON
The Interpretation Volunteer supports Lang Pioneer Village Museum by learning and interpreting early 19th-century rural Ontario lifestyles to visitors. Costumed interpreter enact daily living within the village and demonstrate historic trades or crafts. Interpreters may specialize in the history and activities of a particular building or trade or craft and in this way bring an expertise to the work that they do within the village. Volunteers interpret during regular days in the village, at special events, and for school tours. 
 
Key Responsibilities:  
* Learn historical information relating to placement within the village. 
* Interpret daily living in a 19th-century rural Ontario community. 
* Demonstrate historic trades or crafts. 
* Teach history in an informal, peaceful setting to the public. 
* Wear a period costume and be responsible for care and general cleaning of assigned costume. 
* Provide excellent customer service to visitors.
