DeafBlind Ontario Services provides an array of services to people who are Deaf, hard of hearing, non-verbal and deafblind that are customized to each individual’s unique needs, method of communication, and goals to enrich their life.  
 
We are seeking Bingo Volunteers responsible for representing DeafBlind Ontario Services in a customer service role during 2.5 to 3 hour long shifts at Peterborough Delta Bingo. The position works with the Development Coordinator.  
 
• Provide excellent customer services to patrons of Peterborough Delta Bingo. 
• Ability to stand or walk for 2.5 - 3 hours. 
• Follow policies and procedures including following uniform guidelines, timely attendance for each shift, log book sign-in and out. 
• Clear and wipe down tables and surfaces at gaming centre. 
• Tidy up areas where patrons sit including clearing paper from slot machines. 
• Other duties as assigned.

Volunteers will assist residents with Sunday church services at 2 p.m. Regular attendance with the residents is required to establish patterns. Volunteers are also needed to help transport residents for our Tuesday afternoon multi-faith services, and for special events. Just two hours a week can make a huge difference in a resident's life.

What We Need: 
Have you, your family, or friends been touched by Parkinson’s disease? Are you interested in meeting new people, working as a team and spreading the awareness of Parkinson’s disease? Then we’re looking for you! Parkinson Canada is looking for Day-of Volunteers to assist with the execution of Parkinson SuperWalk, Barrie.  
 
Responsibilities:  
• Attend and/or review registration and banking training session (if applicable). 
• Work with volunteers to coordinate services needed for the day-of (which may include: registration, food and drink, guest speakers, t-shirt distribution, route marshals, etc.).  
• Be onsite on the day of the event to facilitate a successful event. Must be available for Parkinson SuperWalk Barrie on Sat, Sep 7, 2019 at Heritage Park.  
 
Qualifications: 
• Possess exceptional leadership capabilities and enjoy working as part of a team. 
• Excellent organizational skills. 
• Excellent interpersonal skills. 
• Be available for the time commitment needed to ensure the success of the event. 
• Mature, responsible and dependable. 
• Ability to meet deadlines.  
• Must have a volunteer police check. 
 
Our SuperWalk volunteer positions are available to all ages and include flexible time commitments, mentorship for new members, education and training, and excellent leadership experience.
