Communities
Volunteers may assist with:
- watering and weeding
- mulching the pathways
- researching a variety of gardening practices or plant care information
- composting/soil building
- participate in group gardening activities
- create and maintain garden structures such as display board or plant lattices
- administration and fundraising
- web site development and maintenance also required
Outside maintenance such as snow shoveling, lawn cutting, gardening, painting etc.
Indoor maintenance would require cleaning inside the museum at the blacksmith shop, fire hall and concession stand.

- In early spring (typically late April/early May) volunteers are needed to help plant tree seedlings in the Severn Sound watershed.
- Site locations vary from year to year.
The Environment Network has two large community gardens that are used to feed our community. If you would like to be part of helping manage our gardens please reach out. We are looking for help from May - October. Duties include regular watering and weeding. Schedule is very flexible. Other opportunities may arise such as helping with special events.
Assist with various programs of the centre such as health and wellness and recreational activities; cleaning and maintenance, annual powwow.
- Volunteer members:
- Assist with planting at annual flower shows and flower gardens
- Maintenance of gardens in various locations
- Attending meetings
- Assist with fundraising duties to aid in beautification of the community
- Act as youth horticulture group leaders
- Assist with production of annual year book
- Help keep website up to date

Matheson Creek Camp Volunteers can be involved in various activities including :
- General Labour
- Trail maintenance
- Teamwork Days at camp for special projects/events
- Wood cutting & splitting for sites

- Fund Raising activities
- Marketing assistance
- Working at Bingo as a volunteer 2 hours per month
- Grass cutting with provided equipment
- Constuction Projects
- Site spring Cleaning and fall closing activities
- Board Member volunteer positions
- Students requiring volunteer hours for school welcome
