MidlandHelp Senior Wish expand into Simcoe County to ensure that no senior is left isolated, alone and feeling like society has forgotten them. Help is especially needed to prepare for our Christmas Wish program starting in September.
Volunteer for our many projects such as:

- Christmas Bag of Love program
- Memory book program
- general good deeds for Senior
Various volunteer opportunities, including ushering, bingo, set up and tear down of sets, data entry, assist with administrative duties and assisting with inventory of costumes and props. There are also opportunities to help with one time special events.

Pride Collingwood is BACK! July 10th - 13th
Celebrate community, connection, and love at Pride Collingwood 2026. Together, we’re building a more inclusive South Georgian Bay.
This year, we are looking for over 60 volunteers to help us set-up and support the event. We are recruiting for roles ranging for each interest, skill, and ability.

Volunteers required for assisting at activity programs:
- Special events
- Outings
- Meal assistance
- Friendly visiting
- Transporting residents to and from programs
- Simcoe Cycling Without Age
- Entertainment/Music
- Volunteer to be the 2nd adult along with the music teacher
- Time slots available are Mon-Thu 3:30 pm-6 pm, Sep-May
As a Volunteer, you would attend monthly meetings, help out with special events, and may take on responsibilities for specific duties - ie. advertising, concession stand, etc.
There are a variety of volunteer opportunities including volunteering at bingo on behalf of the Friends of the Museum.
Tear down and re-arrange exhibits. Design, build, research and install new and existing exhibits in coordination with the Museum Curator.
- Attending activities, programs, and/or events with residents
- One-on-one visits with residents; spending time chatting, playing card games, doing puzzles, crafts
- Accompanying them on walks either within the building or outdoors (weather permitting)
- Miscellaneous duties as needed
Volunteers are matched to clients who are living with a life-limiting illness. They support and comfort their client and the client's circle of support. Be it family or friends. The goal is to be flexible and assist someone on this journey with whatever they might require. It could be physical, but usually, it is emotional support and advocacy. Once the match has been made, the client and the volunteer set a time schedule that is good for both. Visiting volunteers provide support to our clients in the comfort of the clients home, where ever that may be; their house, long-term care facility, hospital or the vulnerably housed.
Join our retirement lodge as a volunteer to assist with enhancing the lives of residents in a welcoming environment. As a volunteer, you’ll support engaging programs that promote connection, independence, and well-being.
What You’ll Do:
- Engage and encourage residents to participate in activities
- Assist with program setup and clean-up
- Escort residents to and from programs
- Support activities by offering guidance and encouragement
- Share important observations with staff
- Work with Recreation Coordinator to assist with engaging programs
