MidlandThe Collingwood Rowing Club is looking for safety boat drivers to help with rows all summer. We are flexible on scheduling and no commitment required. During rows, the safety boat is there to help with any incidents on the water ( boat tips, broken equipment), to help remind rowers to stay on the rowing course and monitor the general safety of the rowers. The safety boat will also occasionally be required to carry the coach between crews. All safety boat drivers will be trained by our facilities team and during rows will be in constant contact with either a coach or the practice captain. Time commitment is 1-2 hours per row. Row times are: 5:45 AM Monday, Wednesday 7:45AM Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and all holidays 5:45PM Monday, Wednesday, Thursday We also require extra help for the following seasonal events: Come Try Rowing: May 23rd, 9am-12pm and 2pm-5pm (rain date May 24) Learn to Row: June 6th and 7th: 9am-12pm (rain date Jun 13th and 14th) Rows are dependent on weather. We do not go out if it is raining or too windy. Valid PCOC is required. If you do not have a PCOC and commit to 10 hours of service the Rowing Club will cover the cost of acquiring your PCOC. Drivers over the age of 18 will also require a vulnerable sector check.

The Bruce Botanical Food Garden is one of only two spaces in Canada with that designation. There is one acre full of over 250 different food plants, with room to grow in every way. We have space to physically expand and our education and food security programs also have strong growth potential with the right team.

Once fully trained, you will help us assist the police to search for lost and missing persons, and respond to emergencies in the community (e.g. natural disaster cleanup and support)

The Beaver Valley Bruce Trail Club is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit group that maintains and stewards the Bruce Trail and its lands from the western edge of the Blue Mountains to Blantyre. Volunteers have the opportunity to contribute to conservation and the Bruce Trail in a variety of ways.
Trail Maintenance volunteers are part of a roster that may include: sawyers, trail builders, grass-cutters and trimmers, trail clean-up, etc.
Volunteer Land Stewards actively care for each of the properties that are owned or managed by the Bruce Trail Conservancy by visiting an assigned property at least twice a year, completing annual reports on the conditions of the land, and providing input into the stewardship plans.
Hike Leaders plan and guide hikers on the trail in organized hikes approximately once per month, in all four seasons if possible.
Other opportunities to volunteer in Communications and Publicity, Outreach, or on the Board are available as well.
All volunteers will receive training and equipment as necessary. Commitment times are flexible. Please contact the Club to find the opportunity that's right for you!
The Web Developer/Manager would assist in the ongoing maintenance and update of the Nature League web site that has been developed. Work would include: adding walk and hike schedules, newsletters, pictures and notices to the website for public and membership viewing; and Identifying needed improvements and marketing advantages. The volunteer should have an excellent knowledge of web design and development in order to help the organization promote itself on the web for greater community participation in the many opportunities presented by a membership. Initial attendance at one or two Board Meetings would be required to understand the organization and meet Board Members. Otherwise, contact will be done through the President or Corporate Secretary who has the final approval on all updates etc before posting on the web site.
Assist staff to deliver various programs such as crafts, bingo, outings and trips for adults with diverse disabilities. We offer a hybrid approach that involves both in-person programs at our Centre and virtual programs.

- In early spring (typically late April/early May) volunteers are needed to help plant tree seedlings in the Severn Sound watershed.
