1. Help with the set up and clean up of the projects each week. 
2. Assist Art Therapist to ensure activity participation and socialization of each participant. 
3. Under direction of the Art Therapist/Family Support Coordinator, provide one-to-one support to the participants during the creative art process. 
4. Assist with any other tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the program. 
5. At the end of the Program (June) complete an evaluation form about the volunteer role in the Quest Art School + Gallery Program.

Simcoe Peer Support (SPS) is currently seeking applications for the volunteer Board of Directors  
 
We are seeking individuals 19+ yrs of age with some knowledge of Board Governance in the Not For Profit sector, additional knowledge of health system and small business finance would be an asset. Preference will be given to individuals or family members living with mental health and/or addictions.  
 
Our Board meets bi-monthly (6 per year). Board meetings are scheduled to develop policies and procedure, future programming, review financials, and to address and support any concerns staff members may have.  
 
Simcoe Peer Support is a self-help, peer support and resource centre for individuals and families experiencing mental health and/or addiction concerns. Our mission is to provide and promote wellness and recovery. SPS accomplishes this through peer support, advocacy, self help, education and building partnerships within the community.
COPE Service Dogs
Barrie
Purpose of the Position: Join the team to change the lives of people with disabilities and youth who are experiencing challenges by providing a loving home and obedience training to a Service Dog-in-training during its puppyhood. 
 
Responsibilities and Duties: 
 
- Raise a confident and responsive puppy. 
- Care for the dog’s needs according to guidelines from COPE. 
- Provide consistent structure, rules and boundaries to the dog according to training from COPE. 
- Provide obedience training and socialization to the dog. 
- Transport the dog to and from its training programs: Canines in the Classroom (Innisfil) or Refinement Training (Barrie). Multiple pick up/drop off locations in Barrie and Innisfil by COPE van is available. 
- Support from Puppy Sitter Volunteer network is available for vacations or emergencies. 
- Dog food, routine veterinary care, one dog crate, walking harness and leash are provided by COPE. 
 
NOTE: 
The application process takes time and training space is limited, please submit your application now to allow enough time to set up a home interview and ensure a training spot is reserved for you upon the approval of your application. 
 
COVID Protocol: 
Interviews are done by phone and via web conferencing software. Training are done virtually with in-person portion with dogs in open air locations, no physical contact and keeping proper physical distance when provincial guidelines allow us to do so.

Peers Fostering Hope seeks volunteers who are stroke survivors or caregivers of stroke survivors, connecting them with new stroke survivors or caregivers in a hospital setting. The peer visitor draws on personal experience with stroke recovery to elicit a positive response in stroke patients. The peer visitor helps patients become more hopeful about their new situation by facilitating informative and emotionally supportive conversations. The peer visitor also acts as positive role model for stroke recovery and resuming life after stroke.

The Caregiver Support Circle has many different aspects and needs volunteers to help with the following: 
* Education Series – along with the facilitator, you would help co-lead the 4 week sessions 
* Monthly Support Groups – you would help facilitate the monthly meetings where caregivers can go to share feelings and frustrations 
* One to One Support – you would provide support for the caregiver, either by telephone or in person 
* Caregiver Relief – for example, sitting with someone while the caregiver goes out
