Two sites: Camphill Nottawasaga, near Angus and Camphill Sophia Creek in Barrie.  
 
Camphill Nottawasaga (Angus) offers programs in woodworking, pottery, candlemaking, and bakery/meal preparation. There are also opportunities to be involved in maple syrup production, working in the vegetable gardens and caring for livestock (Highland cows and horses).  
 
Camphill Sophia Creek (Barrie) offers work in the mosaic studio, meal preparation skills in the Cafe, music, recreational activities and cultural outings. Assistance with the retail store in downtown Barrie is also needed (111 Dunlop St E). Help is also needed with Bingo events and other special events such as our fairs.  
 
Both locations need volunteers to help with set-up, cash management and take-down at our Farmers Markets.

Lang Pioneer Village Museum
Lang Pioneer Village, Keene, ON
The Interpretation Volunteer supports Lang Pioneer Village Museum by learning and interpreting early 19th-century rural Ontario lifestyles to visitors. Costumed interpreter enact daily living within the village and demonstrate historic trades or crafts. Interpreters may specialize in the history and activities of a particular building or trade or craft and in this way bring an expertise to the work that they do within the village. Volunteers interpret during regular days in the village, at special events, and for school tours. 
 
Key Responsibilities:  
* Learn historical information relating to placement within the village. 
* Interpret daily living in a 19th-century rural Ontario community. 
* Demonstrate historic trades or crafts. 
* Teach history in an informal, peaceful setting to the public. 
* Wear a period costume and be responsible for care and general cleaning of assigned costume. 
* Provide excellent customer service to visitors.

Key Responsibilities:  
* Undertake historically accurate repairs on buildings, fences and grounds. 
* Set-up of outdoor equipment, i.e. benches, tables, garbage cans, etc. 
* Grounds maintenance and clean-up including garbage clean-up, grass cutting & trimming. 
* Cutting & splitting firewood. 
* Maintain & repair historic buildings and areas (i.e. by cleaning eaves troughs, cutting down overgrowth, painting, rebuilding fencing). 
* Work with historically accurate building materials. 
* Adhere to safety standards in all work undertaken.
