Volunteers needed for the Santa Claus Parade. There are a range of opportunities including:

• Banner Carriers (age 12 and up or accompanied by an adult)- walk in the parade carrying a sponsor banner (arrive 1 hr prior to parade; approximately 3 hour time commitment)
• Staging Assistants- help with directing traffic flow in/ out of staging area, monitoring entrance/ exit of staging area, helping participants find their space, directing floats as they leave/ return to the staging area, collecting waiver forms, distributing/ collecting float numbers, assisting with participant inquiries (day of parade; time commitment is flexible)
• Setup/ Teardown Volunteers- placing barricades, bagging parking meters, setup/ teardown of staging area (day before, day of, and/ or day after parade; time commitment is flexible)

Walk the waterfront 

Interact with tourists 

Recommend restaurants, shops and services 

Take a short survey with those that would participate 

Be visible and be the smiling friendly face of Orillia!

Volunteers needed to help with special events, duties include

• Set up and take downs for events including barriers/ gates/ posters/ signs
• help with registration, security
• assisting with Perch Fest, Boat Festival, Santa Claus Parade, Folk festival and Canada Day
