MidlandHelp Senior Wish expand into Simcoe County to ensure that no senior is left isolated, alone and feeling like society has forgotten them. Help is especially needed to prepare for our Christmas Wish program starting in September.
Volunteer for our many projects such as:

- Memory book program
- general good deeds for Senior
Welcomes donors to hospitality area of clinic
- offer refreshments
- give information and updates to donors
- answer questions, thank donors and give milestone donor recognition items
- observe donors and watch for adverse reactions
- keep hospitality area in good order
Board members are concerned community members who are:
-Supportive of the Agency’s Vision, Purpose and Values
-Team oriented with good decision-making skills
-Able to attend and participate in 10 Board meetings each year as well as committee meetings
-Age 18 or over and live or work in Simcoe County or the District of Muskoka

**Confirmation of all prospective board members shall be conditional on receipt and review of a vulnerable sector / criminal record check, child welfare record check and COVID-19 vaccination.
Board members gain an understanding of the issues facing child welfare, children’s mental health and the process of governance. They also help to raise the visibility of the Agency by communicating our purpose and serving as ambassadors within the community.
Position Overview:
The Event Planning Volunteer will assist with the coordination and execution of various events that help raise awareness and support for Christine's Place. These events include various fundraising events, community outreach programs, workshops and more. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for community engagement, event planning and supporting a good cause.
Key Responsibilities:

Event Coordination:

Assist with the planning, organization and execution of charity events.

Help secure event venues, coordinate logistics (e.g., catering, transportation, equipment) and ensure all event materials are ready.

Work with vendors, suppliers and sponsors to ensure smooth event operations.

Volunteer Management:

Help recruit, train and manage event volunteers.

Ensure volunteers understand their roles and responsibilities during the event.

Marketing & Promotion:

Assist with promoting events through social media, MailChimp newsletters and local community outreach.

Help design and distribute event flyers and promotional materials.

Guest Services:

Coordinate guest lists and registration for events.

Assist with attendee inquiries, including providing information about the event schedule, location and logistics.

On-Site Event Support:

Be present at events to assist with setup, registration and smooth running of activities.

Handle unexpected challenges or issues as they arise during the event.

Post-Event Activities:

Assist with thank-you notes, follow-up emails and post-event surveys.

Help with arranging a team of volunteers for the breakdown and clean-up of the event site.

Experience in event planning or volunteer coordination is an asset but not required.

Basic knowledge of Canva, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Google Drive and/or event management tools are an asset.

The Web Developer/Manager would assist in the ongoing maintenance and update of the Nature League web site that has been developed. Work would include: adding walk and hike schedules, newsletters, pictures and notices to the website for public and membership viewing; and Identifying needed improvements and marketing advantages. The volunteer should have an excellent knowledge of web design and development in order to help the organization promote itself on the web for greater community participation in the many opportunities presented by a membership. Initial attendance at one or two Board Meetings would be required to understand the organization and meet Board Members. Otherwise, contact will be done through the President or Corporate Secretary who has the final approval on all updates etc before posting on the web site.
This volunteer position is responsible for the development, writing and deployment of social media and web-site content.

As a Volunteer, you would attend monthly meetings, help out with special events, and may take on responsibilities for specific duties - ie. advertising, concession stand, etc.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Clothing Sorter - Sort Clothes, take inventory, and organize the store.
Stylists- Suit clients for their interviews (experience with Dress For Success may be needed, but will be provided).
Fundraising Committee- Creating events for fundraising opportunities, or volunteering for an already planned event.
IT Tech - Someone to create and maintain a social presence online to promote the organization and it's events.
Hair and Make up Stylists- Help show clients what is appropriate for interviews and work when considering make up and hair.
Board of Directors- Must be 18+, will sit in on the board meetings and hold an important role within the organization, for more information, contact Linda Reid, Executive Director for Dress For Success Orillia and Barrie.
Volunteers assist with general office duties, assist members and program support.
ACTIVITIES - include: assisting with ticket/attendance sales; silent auction prizes; identifying sponsors and/or businesses that could provide gifts or prizes, delivering event kits to guests.

Huronia Community Foundation (HCF) is a registered charity that provides funding to local charities and non-profits. HCF is home to over 80 unique funds established by local charities and community-minded philanthropists.
Established in 2000, HCF was incorporated as Canada’s 99th Community Foundation. A Community Foundation plays a crucial role in how people give back to their communities. In 2025, HCF proudly celebrated 25 years of giving to over 500 charities in North Simcoe of more than $4M since its inception. Through funding from Endowment Funds that are held in perpetuity, we connect people, families and companies with causes that inspire them – pooling resources, knowledge and expertise to achieve the greatest impact.
The primary focus of HCF’s mission is ‘Improving the quality of life and creating a strong community now and forever through leadership and generosity.’
HCF is managed by a Volunteer Board of Directors, a part-time Executive Director and Bookkeeper.
The Board of Directors steers the direction of HCF and provides accountability to the community for the performance of the Foundation. The role of the board member is to:
- Stay informed of the operations of the Foundation
- Attend a maximum of 8 Board meetings annually
- Commit the time and resources to serve on the board
- Actively participate in 2 or more Board committees
- Represent the Foundation in the community
- Attend Foundation events, including the AGM in September

About Bridget’s Bunnies
Bridget’s Bunnies is a charity dedicated to supporting individuals and families through the heartbreak of pregnancy and infant loss. We provide Comfort Kits, remembrance resources, and compassionate community care, ensuring no one walks this journey alone.
Bridget’s Bunnies is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic volunteer to assist with special events throughout the year, including community events and Bridget’s Bunnies fundraising events and activities. This role involves representing Bridget’s Bunnies brands throughout the Simcoe/Muskoka region.
Hours: Volunteers will be expected to participate in events throughout Simcoe/Muskoka as their schedule allows
Location: Simcoe/Muskoka Region
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent Bridget’s Bunnies professionally and positively at community events.
- Assist with event setup, engagement, and teardown at third-party fundraising events, street fairs, and other promotional activities.
- Provide information about Bridget’s Bunnies to the public and be comfortable speaking about Bridget’s Bunnies' mission and values.
- Encourage community participation and fundraising efforts.
- Work closely with event organizers and fellow volunteers to ensure a smooth event experience.
- Transport promotional materials and event supplies to and from event locations.
Requirements:
- Access to and use of a personal vehicle with valid insurance. (preferred)
- Comfortable speaking with the public and engaging with event attendees.
- Ability to lift and carry event materials as needed.
- Availability to attend events in the Simcoe/Muskoka region
- Passion for supporting those affected by pregnancy or infant loss.
