Description (Service) Provides positive adult role models to boys and girls, ages 6 to 18, through volunteer mentoring relationships that are based on Fun and Friendship * offers a variety of programs that involve different levels of commitment/time requirements given by the volunteer * a registered charitable organization  
 
Programs include  
 
* One To One Big Brother/Big Sister program, an adult volunteer, 20 years of age and up, is matched to a child for weekly contact * program requires a minimum one year commitment * also open to couples wishing to volunteer together  
 
* Big Bunch, 2-3 adult volunteers are matched to 4-6 children on the waiting list for group outings  
 
* In-School Mentoring, an adult mentor is matched with a child in a partnering school  
 
* Little Brother/Little Sister Club, adult volunteers assist with the running of a group recreation program for unmatched children  
 
* Go Girls, female volunteers 18-25 yrs facilitate a 7 week program at a local school with Grade 7 or 8 girls 
 
* Game On, male volunteers 18-25 yrs facilitate a 7 week program at a local school with Grade 7 or 8 boys 
 
* After School Mentoring, volunteers assist children in after school group programs to improve literacy skills and assist with homework * operate out of the Barrie Municipal Non-Profit Housing Community rooms in different sites throughout the city 
 
Various fundraising events are held throughout the year that encourage community involvement * these include Bowl for Kids, Golf for Kids, Showcase of Homes, Curl for Kids

Children, 6-18yrs in need of a consistent adult role model * need is assessed by a casework team prior to approval * eligibility for other programs based on the specific requirements of that particular program
