The City’s customer service centre, Service Barrie, remains reachable by email or phone: ServiceBarrie@barrie.ca or 705-726-4242 * Service Barrie reps are available Mon-Fri 8 am-5 pm * Residents are encouraged to visit barrie.ca/OnlineServices to apply for small building permits, pay for parking or speeding tickets, and more * Starting July 13, in-person services will be available by appointment only, Mon-Fri 8:30am-4:30 pm * Appointments must be booked in advance by calling 705-726-4242

Program offers support to older adults in the Barrie community who for a variety of reasons are unable to take advantage of the 55+ centres * program exists to promote wellness in all areas of living: social, emotional and physical * offers fitness, lunch, opportunities to get to know new people and make new friendships, and opportunities to participate in activities

Seniors * living alone, or with family, who have limitations and/or a barrier preventing them from participating independently in regular activities at the centre * since the volunteers are not health care personnel and many are seniors themselves, senior participants must be able to look after their own personal needs and support their own weight without another person's assistance
