Seniors 65 yrs and up * Canadian citizen or landed immigrant * resident of Canada for at least 10 years after reaching age 18, or 1 year if from country that has reciprocal pension agreement with Canada * do not need to be retired * Canadian citizens living outside of Canada who lived in Canada for a total of at least 20 years after reaching age 18
Application In person service at the Barrie Service Canada Centre no appointment necessary * application form * this benefit is not paid automatically * applicants can phone to have an application form mailed out * completed application forms and correspondence can be sent to PO Bag 2013, Timmins ON P4N 8C8 * completed application forms can be dropped off at all Service Canada Centres(staff at the centres will certify documents, but cannot confirm if correct documents have been included) * application forms available on the website * you can now apply online via the Service Canada website
