| Description (Service) | Collects and distributes gift-filled Shoeboxes to local women who are homeless or at-risk of homelessness * each Shoebox is filled with items valued at $50 and personal notes of encouragement that can enhance self-esteem and reduce feelings of isolation for women in need * items such as gift cards, skin care products, good quality soaps and shampoos, make up, chocolates * see website for details and step-by-step instructions and drive dates and locations Shoeboxes can be put together by individuals or groups * Student Shoebox gift drives are a creative and hands-on group activity for students at the primary, secondary, or post-secondary level |
