Description (Service)

Program focuses on healthy eating during pregnancy, pre and postnatal wellness, breastfeeding and newborn care

Free weekly virtual program helping to promote healthy pregnancies in a friendly and supportive virtual drop-in environment:
Participants receive support and information on a wide range of relevant issues such as breastfeeding, health, pre- and postnatal nutrition, becoming a parent and community resources
Nutritious foods, grocery gift cards, prenatal vitamins and infant vitamin D are provided to program participants
Catulpa Community Support Services is a sponsor of the MotherCare program in Simcoe County

Public Comments	Simcoe County CAPC, including MotherCare, Next Step and Children's in-person and virtual programs, will be closed between December 25 and January 12. Programs will begin again on Monday, January 15, 2024.
Hours	Virtual MotherCare Program: Tue 1 pm-2 pm Virtual MotherCare Newcomer Prenatal Program: Tue 11 am-12 noon, for pregnant individuals who are new to Canada
Areas Served	Simcoe County ; Programs located in Alliston, Angus, Barrie, Bradford, Collingwood, Innisfil, Midland, Orillia, Wasaga Beach

Eligibility	Pregnant Simcoe County residents who are currently on a low income or who receive social assistance Simcoe County residents who joined MotherCare during their pregnancy will be supported until their baby is 6 weeks old
