Description (Service)

Provides financial assistance to low-income households in Barrie, to help offset water/wastewater bill costs

Successful applicants will be credited a portion of their water/wastewater bill back to them.
credit provided will not exceed 40% of the total water/wastewater bill to a maximum of $60 per billing cycle

Hours	Mon-Fri 8:30 am-4:30 pm

Eligibility	Permanent, full-time principal resident with a current City of Barrie residential water and wastewater billing account. The account must be in the applicants name. The application pertains to a principal residence that the applicant either owns or rents. A principal residence is defined as the main location where the applicant lives. Number of people living at the residence and Household income before tax 1 - $ 26,620 2 - $ 33,140 3 - $ 40,742 4 - $ 49,466 5 - $ 56,104 6 - $ 63,276 7 - $ 70,448 Each additional person - + $7,172 Amounts are based on the Government of Canada's 2022 low-income cut-offs (LICOs) and are subject to change
