Description (Service) Program assists individuals to complete their income tax and benefit return * The Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP) volunteers prepare and E File returns if the individual meets the criteria * Able to file previous years 2016 - 2019 * Any prior years, when completed, must be submitted to Canada Revenue Agency using Canada Post

Areas Served Clearview (Simcoe County) ; Wasaga Beach ; and surrounding area
Eligibility Suggested maximum income levels  
Single Up to $30,000  
Two person family $40,000 (combined income of a couple, or one adult with one child under 18)  
$2500 for additional dependent  
Volunteers do not prepare tax returns for complex situations such as:  
* returns for deceased persons;  
* individuals who file for bankruptcy;  
* self-employed individuals;  
* individuals who report capital gains or losses; or  
* individuals who report employment expenses, or business or rental income and  
Eligible taxpayers normally served by the CVITP include  
* Aboriginal peoples;  
* Low-income individuals and social assistance recipients;  
* Newcomers to Canada;  
* Seniors; and  
* Students.
