| Description (Service) | When Environment Canada issues an extreme heat or cold alert, rest areas are available to residents for relief from extreme weather conditions. These can include public buildings such as libraries or community centres during regular business hours. Other buildings such as malls or cinemas that have air conditioning/heating could also be used.In Wasaga Beach, the following locations are available:
Winter overnight warming centre is available when temperature fall below -10 °C at Faith Missionary Church (1355 River Rd West) between 8:30 pm and 8:30 am. |

| Public Comments | The old Wasaga Beach Stars Arena at 425 River Rd West will be closed as of Jan 26, 2024. The new Wasaga Stars Arena and Public Library at 544 River St W will now be a rest station for extreme weather. |
