Description

Description (Service) Cultural, historical museum. Includes the Black communities of Oro, Collingwood/Owen Sound, Artemesia (Priceville Black Cemetery) and surrounding settlements.

Offers guided/self guided tours describing the accomplishments of founding Black pioneers and their contribution to Canadian society.

The Museum has several hand crafted model ships, displays and artifacts.

Tour includes a heritage walk, Underground Railroad quilt, African beginnings, pioneer life, farm implements and black memorabilia.

Ample parking and picnic tables are available to visitors.

Hours Thu-Sat 10 am-3 pm; Heritage Walk Displays close at 2 pm
