Description (Service) | 12-step program aims to carry a message of recovery to alcoholics seeking help to maintain sobriety. Offers a program of recovery from alcohol through total abstinence, one day at a time. Provides a fellowship of women and men who share their experience, strength, and hope with each other, that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. As an organization, Alcoholics Anonymous distributes folders, goes to jails, detox, hospitals and schools to describe AA to specific groups. |
