| Description (Service) | Accepts electronic waste for free recycling at three ReStore locations (Owen Sound, Hanover and Port Elgin). E-waste contains a variety of toxic substances including lead, mercury, and cadmium which if allowed to enter the environment may result in devastating effects on human health and ecosystems. Recycling ensures that e-waste items are diverted from communal landfill sites so that they may be reused where possible and ultimately appropriately disposed of. |
