Description (Service) Monthly benefit payment to help eligible households pay their rent. Benefit payments are:
  • portable, so benefit may be received after moving to another address
  • based on household income and local market rent values

  • survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking
  • Indigenous people

  • individuals with disabilities
  • Eligible households must be either on, or eligible to be on, the social housing waiting list
Application The 2023 COHB Program is accepting applications as of December 1, 2022 with submissions made to the Provincial Government in the spring of 2023.
