COVID-19 Response
There are no community visits at this time.

Regular Service
Provides culturally appropriate health services in five First Nations (FN) communities: Magnetawan FN, Shawanaga FN, Wasauksing FN, Moose Deer Point FN and Wahta Mohawk Territory.

The Community Health Nurse visits these communities on a regular basis providing the following services:

Health Education and Health Promotion
Communicable Disease Control and Immunization
Maternal and Child health
School health Immunization Program
Chronic Disease Monitoring
Advocacy and Referrals to other health services

The Parry Sound Health Centre clerk will assists registered First Nations clients to access the Non-Insured Health benefits program, (NIHB) which includes coverage for prescription medication, medical supplies and equipment, medical transportation, optometry and dental services. Will also assist with claim submissions and appeals for coverage of services.
