Description (Service) COVID-19 Response
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the District of Parry Sound Social Services Administration Board is limiting public access to its offices in Parry Sound and South River.

Phone appointments are recommended. Individuals seeking service are advised to call either the Parry Sound office (705-746-7777 or 1-800-461-4464) or the South River office (705-386-2552 or 1-800-661-3230).

Individuals requiring an in-person appointment will need to be screened for COVID before allow entry to the office.

Regular Service
The District of Parry Sound Social Services Administration Board is responsible for the following services:

Children's Services
  • subsidized child care
  • licensed child care centres - see separate 2-1-1 listings
  • home child care program - see separate 2-1-1 listings
  • EarlyON Child and Family Centres - see separate 2-1-1 listings
  • Integration Support Services for children with special needs - see separate 2-1-1 listings
  • HIGH FIVE/Summer Recreation Programs
Housing and Community Services - see separate 2-1-1 listings
  • Social Housing Program including rent geared to income units and rent supplement program
  • Community Homelessness Prevention Inititiave (CHPI) to assist community members at risk of homelessness including financial assistance for hydro and rental arrears
  • Esprit Place Family Resource Centre and Women's Shelter
Income support Services - see separate 2-1-1 listings
  • Ontario Works intake by phone or in person at the South River or Parry Sound office locations
Satellite office located in South River at 16 Toronto Ave.
