Description (Service)

Northumberland Bridges Program provides parenting education and nutritional supports in a peer support group format.

Information on a variety of topics including how to cook nutritious food.
Support in finding and accessing other agencies to assist with issues (e.g. financial, housing, legal, health, employment, social).
Activities for young children to increase developmental skills and build social skills. Assistance with transportation to groups is provided. Participants receive a variety of gifts and supports, including Milk for Moms Gift Certificates and Simply Supper.
Pregnant and Breastfeeding Participants receive vouchers for fresh food and prenatal vitamins. Pregnancy, Breastfeeding and Infant Development education and support is provided at group.
