Foundations helps young people (aged 21 to 28 years) who live with a developmental disability transition from high school to living on their own.

The Foundations program helps young people to:

• Plan for the future.
• Get help from other people.
• Find community information and get involved in community activities.
• Learn life and work skills.
• Find a job.

Foundations offers life and work skills training on a one-to-one basis and in groups. Through skills training, it helps young people to:

• Take care of themselves and their homes.
• Manage their money.
• Plan and prepare meals.
• Know their community.
• Take part in recreational and leisure activities.
