We invite you to volunteer with us at this year’s SuperWalk!

SuperWalk is Parkinson’s largest annual fundraiser, raising vital funds for support, advocacy, and research for people living with and impacted by Parkinson’s.

As a SuperWalk Event Day Volunteer, you will work alongside a local Volunteer Event Coordinator and/or Committee. You will play an important part in ensuring a successful event and raising the profile of Parkinson’s in your community.

Volunteer roles include:

  • Event set-up/take-down
  • Registration
  • Greeters
  • Food services
  • Entertainment support   
  • Checkpoint stations
  • Cheering on SuperWalkers!

Time Commitment
The Cobourg Parkinson Canada SuperWalk is scheduled for Sunday, September 13, 2026, with activities taking place between 10:00am and 2:00pm. The time commitment for this opportunity varies according SuperWalk activities and your availability. Volunteers will be contacted closer to the event to confirm their shift time, role, and event details.

Age Requirement 
Volunteers must be at least 12 years old to volunteer without a parent or guardian for this event. If an adult would like to register a youth aged 11 or younger to volunteer with them, please connect with Volunteer Engagement at volunteer@parkinson.ca for assistance.

Autism Ontario [Central East]

Event Setup​​:  Arrive early to assist with setup​​​; Set up registration tables and signage; Prepare and organize materials (e.g., handouts, flyers)​​​

Event Attendance:  Greet and check-in participants; Provide information and answer questions​

Program Help:  Assist with program activities and games; Support participants as needed (e.g., providing guidance, answering questions)​​​

Post-Event Duties​​:  Assist with cleanup and breakdown​​​; Gather feedback from participants​​​; Post event follow-up/feedback

Here are some of the many opportunites for you at the Port Hope Fair and we're ready to match you with your interests. 

  • Set up/tear down volunteer - carry and set up display tables, attach skirting, put up temporary barriers, place ticket booths at entrances, place cement barriers on track
  • Gates/admission booth volunteer - sell tickets, apply wristbands
  • Beer tent volunteer- sell tickets or serve drinks, stock coolers.  Smart serve required. 
  • Parking attendants volunteer - direct cars to available parking
  • Childrens events volunteer- pedal tractor pull, childrens pet show
