Eligibility Ages: 65 year(s) and up 
Canadian citizen or legal resident * residing in Canada for at least 10 years after reaching age 18 * can be deferred for up to 60 months (5 years) after the date of eligibility * Canadian citizens living outside of Canada who lived in Canada for a total of at least 20 years after reaching age 18 * see website for details
Application Older Adults who are eligible are enrolled automatically * a notification letter will be sent by Service Canada the month after turning 64 * if no letter is received, apply in writing by mail * application and required documentation available on website
