Description (Service)

Prepares and issues property tax bills for all properties within the City of Barrie

  • issues supplier payments, invoices and collects accounts receivable amounts
  • handles all consolidated financial reporting requirements for the City and related boards
  • manages all components of operating and capital budgets
  • handles corporate purchasing requirements
  • updates and administers the Development Charges Act
  • responsible for water and waste water billing
  • questions pertaining to assessment values and property description should be directed to the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (see separate record)
