Description (Service) Accessibility Resource Centre offers information and guidance to Seniors on:

* Vehicle Modifications such as lifts and controls to allow a person with a disability to enter and/or drive

* Accessible Home Renovations including items such as ramps, stair lifts, widening doorways, accessible bathroom facilities

* Assistive Devices such as wheelchairs, scooters, walkers, commodes, hospital beds, lift chairs, grab bars, etc

* Assistance in identifying available funding resources

* Assistive Device Exchange website created to encourage the reuse of assistive devices * people can list equipment they no longer need either for sale or giveaway * people who need equipment can find them at a reduced cost or for free

Independent Living Services of Simcoe County and Area is a member of the Simcoe Muskoka Integrated Fall Strategy (SMIFS)
