Description
| Description (Service) | Supports households who are actively experiencing homelessness in Grey County. Households that are admitted into the motel component of the program will be assigned a Case Coordinator that will assess needs and work with the household to find longer-term, affordable housing. All households, eligible or otherwise, will be supported through a diversion attempt prior to offering a motel room. If unable to access motel (diversion option available, ineligible, on restriction or no room available), households can access transportation (if available) to a safe place they can stay, as well as support in accessing other local resources that they are eligible. Housing Search and Information - Coordinators will offer short-term case management and assistance with finding rental housing. Computers are available to use at the office to help with housing search. |

If not eligible for motel, households may still be able to access diversion supports (transportation, support completing Sustainable Housing Benefit Application, referral to other relevant services). Callers from outside of Grey County should be referred to resources in their current community. |
