Description (Service) One Roof Drop-in Centre: Designated cooling/warming centre. 99 Brock St, 1 pm-5 pm. Hours will be extended when extreme weather alert is in effect 8:30 am-9:30 pm

City of Peterborough: Access to water for people who are homeless in City of Peterborough.
  • Refillable water bottles and bottled water are being distributed by One Roof through its community meal program.
  • Peterborough Public Library providing refillable water bottles. Water bottle refills available during regular hours. Visit www.peterborough.ca for more information.
Asphodel-Norwood - Splash pad is open at Community Centre Park, Norwood

When Environment Canada issues an extreme heat or cold alert, rest areas are available to residents for relief from extreme weather conditions. These can include public buildings such as libraries or community centres during regular business hours. Other buildings such as malls or cinemas that have air conditioning/heating could also be used.
